Privacy
Last updated 27 October 2026. This policy covers ventriculus.org and its subdomains: ecg, echo, cath, sim, ep, eplab and pharmacy.ventriculus.org.
Who is responsible
Ventriculus is run by Berke Cenktug Korucu, MD, who decides how the data described here is used.
Analytics (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which lessons and tools are used. Google Analytics is loaded, and its cookies are set, only after you click “Accept analytics”. We never use advertising cookies and we do not sell data. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” (at the foot of this page and others), or by deleting the cookie named vx_consent, which stores your choice for 12 months and is shared by all Ventriculus sites.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or any other storage on your device and without identifying you, so it runs whether or not you accept analytics.
Learning progress
Some tools save your progress and settings only in your own browser (local storage): for example the ECG atlas post-test results, values entered in the echo cheatsheet, and your acceptance of a tool’s disclaimer. They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
Evaluation forms
The ECG atlas evaluation form is not collecting responses at the moment. Earlier responses (chapter, ratings and free-text comments, with no name or email) were stored by our previous host, Netlify, and read only by the author. Please do not include personal or patient information in any comments.
Accounts
Some Ventriculus tools (such as the simulator) need a free account. Those tools explain what they store when you sign up.
Hosting
The sites are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages securely.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or Turkey’s KVKK), you may ask to access, correct or delete data about you, and you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing.
Medical disclaimer
Ventriculus is for education only and is not a substitute for clinical judgement.
